Interesting Pinterest Campaign by Kotex

This is an excellent example illustrating the power of Social Media, if you know how to tap on it.   Kotex ran this Pinterest marketing programme (done by Smoyz, a creative web marketing company) in Israel and look at the outcome – some 2,284 interactions and 694,853 impressions across the internet within a week.

Kotex examined 50 “inspiring” women’s Pinterest entries and sent them each a virtual gift. If the recipient pinned the gift, she then got a real one in the mail that was based on something she had pinned. According to Smoyz, nearly 100% of the women posted something about their gift, not only on Pinterest, but on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
