On this day, 10 years ago, the movie “Lord of the Rings” finally arrived in Singapore (although it was premiered in UK on 10 December 2001). There is no denial that Peter Jackson’s mammoth adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic created a great impact in getting the readers (or should I say movie goers) interested in rediscovering the magic of Middle-earth. Until this day, the magic still lingers, but are you exploiting it to your favour?
Take a look at the short film below which the Orem Public Library (in Utah) did last year to celebrate classic fantasy for their Orem’s Big Read 2010 programme. It is still not to late to rediscover the magic in the air!
